Mustang Tiji festival trekking desinaltion is one of the most popular and demanded trekking package amoung the clients of Randonnee Nepal Treks. Tiji festival is a three day ritual known as
the chasing of the Demons observed in May. This festival is centred with the myth. Tiji is the story of a deity named Dorje Jono who had battled againstthe demon father to save the Kingdom of Mustang from
destruction. The demon father wreaked havoc on Mustang by creation g water shortage. Dorje Jono eventually defeated the demon father and banished him from the land. This festival is observed worshipping god for demanding the water and good crops.
During the festival monks dress with their traditional customs and masks and perform dances and rituals that supposed to drive away evil sprits. Similarly, people from all over Mustang gather in Lo Manthang being dressed in their finery and celebrate this festival.
