A short yet scenic drive from Pokhara leads us to the trailhead at Nayapul. The trail goes through oak, rhododendron and bamboo forest and climb the glacial Modi Khola Valley which carries melt water from the peaks above. On the way, we spend overnight at different village; perched on high ridge above the river.
The real climax is reached as we approach Annapurna Sanctuary where Machhapuchhre Base camp is followed by the Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m/13,550ft). At ABC, we will be surrounded by the immense wall of ices and rocks standing more than 4,000m/13,100ft above the hotel on the glacial moraine. The sunrise view is breathtaking.
The returning leg requires only three night; taking an alternative route with one night spending at Jhinu Danda. Here we soothe at natural hot spring which works as a magic on our tired muscles. A final short walk takes us to back to the road for the drive back to your hotel at Pokhara. Drive back along mid-hill geography to Kathmandu.
